Have you created a special app, do you have a special technique or is there a colleague you admire? What inspires you as a developer? Today UX Designer Frederike explains what makes her hart beat faster in 5 questions.
Which app did you like to work with?
Peerby, the app that allows you to easily and securely borrow and lend stuff from your neighbors. A very good idea; It makes for social cohesion, is against materialism and makes for sustainability fun.
Which fellow designer would you like to be for a day and why?
I would like to be Jake Knapp, the man behind the Google design sprints. I wonder how the one who invented the concept, leads these sprints. And of course I would like it to be five whole days, so I can have a full sprint.
What are you working on now?
Multiple online applications for the Dutch Open Air museum, to give people the context of museums and to actively engage in history.
What is your dream project? Or where would you like to help?
A project that provides people with real added value or a solution to their problem, and that also supports business goals. But not only the project makes me happy, I find the team at least as important. A team in which ambitious people work together in a pleasant way and want to get the most out of it. A team that dares to be critical, pragmatic and works with enthusiasm on a beautiful end product.
What are you most proud of?
On the positive reactions after strategic sessions, where customers have come to new insights and with which I have been able to put them into thinking new thoughts.
Who would you like to see in this place next time?
A real diehard backender that works on complex solutions because I have great admiration for their technical skills.
Experienced strategist and UX/UI designer, with a past in branding, positioning, marketing and visual design. Strong in strategic sessions, creative concepts and devising and mapping a logical user experience. Analytical, critical and motivated to help develop products with real added value for user and organization.
